Things to do for singles in Maine
Meeting people as an adult is hard, especially if you're new to the area or haven't been single in a while. The Maine Singles Social Club puts together low-pressure group outings for singles in Bangor, Waterville, Augusta, Lewiston, Auburn, Portland and the towns around them.
Members have gotten together for breakfast meetups, trivia nights, pool, karaoke, open mic nights, card games and coffee, haunted trails, trail festivals, and local craft fairs and makers markets. Anyone in the group can suggest an event, so there's something for every interest, whether you're in your 20s or 60+.
Whether you're looking for friendship or dating, it starts the same way: no profiles to fill out, no swiping, no algorithms. Just real people from Maine meeting face to face.

Who can join?
Single adults, 18 and older, anywhere in Maine. We have events in the Bangor area, Central Maine, Lewiston/Auburn and Southern Maine. Single means not married, engaged, or in a committed relationship.
How much does it cost?
Joining is free. Some events have their own costs, like your own breakfast, drinks, or a game of pool. Any cost is listed on the event.
Is this a dating site?
Not the usual kind. There are no profiles, no matching and no swiping. We get together in groups for things like breakfast, trivia nights, pool, karaoke and card games. Some members are looking for friendship and some are looking to date, and meeting in person at a group event is an easy way to do either.
Do I need Facebook?
No. You can sign up and RSVP for events right here. Our Facebook group is where members chat and share event ideas, but it is optional.
Where are events held?
In public places in the Bangor area, Central Maine, Lewiston/Auburn and Southern Maine. Each event lists its town, and the exact venue is emailed to you after you RSVP.
What if I am nervous about going alone?
Coming on your own is normal. Events are relaxed group outings, and everyone there is single and there to meet people. You can also start by joining the conversation in the Facebook group first.
